Lawrence R. Kosinski, MD, MBA

Dr. Kosinski has been a practicing Gastroenterologist for 30 years and is one of the founding and managing partners of the Illinois Gastroenterology Group, the largest gastroenterology group in Illinois. He specializes in acid reflux (GERD), Ulcers, Diverticulosis, Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS), Crohn’s Disease, Ulcerative Colitis and other digestive diseases. He believes nutrition is one of the most important issues to focus on to promote good health. Dr. Kosinski received his BS and MD from Loyola University and his MBA from Northwestern University Kellogg School of Business. He is a nationally recognized speaker and a Davies award recipient.

Joan Kanute, MS, RD

Joan Kanute, MS, RD is a registered and licensed dietitian with 20 years experience in nutrition assessment and education. Her experience with hospitalized patients includes management of patients with a variety of gastrointestinal conditions, with a focus on critical care nutrition support. Additionally, Joan has experience counseling individuals and groups in the community regarding weight loss and disease prevention. Joan has served as a legislative liaison for the American Dietetic Association and adjunct nutrition faculty at 2 local community colleges. Joan received a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition from Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana and a Master of Science in Nutrition from Northern Illinois University in DeKalb, Illinois.
